Hören: Termine & Uhrzeit

Lesson · 3 rules · about 3 min

A friend's voicemail changes your evening plans — catch the day, the time and the meeting place the first time you hear it.

  1. 1halb acht is 7:30
  2. 2The preposition decides the place
  3. 3Instructions end the message
Why this matters

Anna leaves Tom a voicemail about tomorrow: the day, two times, a meeting place, a price and two instructions. You only hear it, and the questions ask for the details — exactly what you need when a friend changes plans by voicemail. Three things to catch: the day (am Samstag), the times (the film at halb acht = 7:30, the meeting at sieben Uhr = 7:00 — two different times, and two different questions), and the place with its preposition (vor dem Kino = outside the cinema, not inside). Listen once for the shape, then once per question; write times as digits the moment you hear them.
