Why this matters
Eine Umfrage im Radio auf der Straße: jemand vom Radio und drei Leute: eine junge Frau, ein älterer Mann und ein Student. Alle bekommen dieselbe Frage zur Freizeit: Was machst du, und was möchtest du öfter machen? Du hörst es einmal. Radio, Podcasts und Gespräche in der Gruppe mischen viele Stimmen. Du musst die Personen auseinanderhalten. Notiere dir darum beim Hören ein Stichwort (ein wichtiges Wort) pro Person: schwimmen / reisen / Freunde. Achte auf den Konjunktiv II (Formen wie würde), denn er zeigt einen Wunsch, der nicht wahr wird: Ich würde gern …, aber … Der Satz mit aber nennt den Grund, warum es nicht passiert, und danach wird immer gefragt. Die Fallen sind Aktivitäten, die die Leute zwar nennen, aber nicht regelmäßig machen.

Presenter: Good morning! In our programme "Stadtgespräch" today is about free time. We asked passers-by in the pedestrian zone: What do you do in your free time – and what would you like to do more often? Young woman: I like doing sport. Above all I swim, three times a week, mostly in the morning before work. At the weekend I sometimes go climbing too. I would like to do a dance course, but the course is always on Thursdays, and that is when I work late. Older man: Since I retired I have a lot of time. I work in the garden and read a lot, crime novels most of all. I would like to travel more, but unfortunately I have little money. My pension is not very high. Student: Most of all I like meeting friends. We cook together or play guitar, and in summer we have barbecues in the park. Really I ought to study more for university, I know. But without my friends my studies would be pretty boring! Presenter: Many thanks, everyone! And you, dear listeners? Write to us and tell us what you do in your free time.
