Kurzcheck: Wo oder wohin?

Lesson · 2 rules · about 3 min

Tell someone where your things are and where you're putting them. The verb you choose decides the case.

  1. 1Answer wo? with a position verb and the dative
  2. 2Answer wohin? with a putting verb and the accusative
Why this matters

A three-minute checkpoint on the first half of this module, in your own AI assistant with voice on: where the things around you are, and where they are going. The tutor asks Wo ist …? and Wohin legst / stellst du …?, and listens for one thing — the case after the preposition: dem/der for a position, den/die/das for a movement. Answer with the verb that fits the question (steht, liegt, hängt for wo?; lege, stelle, hänge for wohin?), because the verb is what makes the case right.
